In the heart of Lisbon, Rua de Campo de Ourique was home to a building that had been abandoned for years. Sylvain Grasset Architecture (SGA) took on this rehabilitation project with the ambition to breathe new life into this space while respecting its architectural heritage. This project exemplifies our approach that blends respect for history with the integration of modernity.
Réhabilitation de la Rua de Campo de Ourique à Lisbonne
The main challenge was to preserve the building’s soul while incorporating modern, functional elements suited to today’s needs. The original structure had serious stability issues that required deep intervention. We reinforced the internal structure while preserving the facades and decorative elements that characterize the visual identity of the area.
Inside, the layout of the spaces was completely rethought to maximize natural light and optimize the use of every square meter. The finishes were carefully chosen to reflect both quality and elegance, with a mix of modern and traditional materials such as wood and stone. Attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the project, from the sanitary installations to the choice of light fixtures, all designed to create a contemporary and warm ambiance.
This rehabilitation project is not just a renovation; it is a transformation that combines innovation and tradition, creating a unique living space that respects the past while firmly looking to the future. We are proud to contribute to the revitalization of this historic neighborhood and to offer a new chapter in life for this emblematic building.
